Facility Policy

It is the policy of this institution to comply with the NPUAP's nutrition recommendations for non-healing wounds and to reduce the time to wound closure. In the event that a wound does not respond, i.e., show signs of healing, to standard nutrition interventions, the NPUAP recommends a change in treatment with consideration to include arginine and glutamine. ArgiMent AT® allows for the continuation of protein supplementation for wound healing in combination with advanced therapy for non-healing wounds-arginine, glutamine, vitamin C, and zinc.
